Makeloo Studio is a sustainable textile studio and shop founded in 2017 on Île Dupas, in Lanaudière, and now based in Lavaltrie.

To promote ecological textile art and innovation by making the most of local Québec fibres.

To revisit ancestral know-how with certified local fibres, bringing together art, circular economy and biodiversity.

Born in pain — and in fibre
In 2017, after an accident, Marcelo was given an unusual prescription: hand spinning.
Passing it on — from Vo Pina to Piérot
As a child, Marcelo learned knitting and crochet from his great-grandmother.
The land as the source — Lanaudière
Marcelo visits the Québec farms himself and selects the fleeces.
