A primitive, double-coated breed, Shetland provides an exceptionally fine, light, and warm undercoat with a lively, naturally grippy texture. This character makes Shetland the wool of choice for colorwork: stitches cling together, motifs stay crisp, and colors bloom softly after blocking.
